HOROWHENUA ACTIVITIES. Yesterday was the commencement, of the Wednesday competitions and the results are as follows: — School B won by default from Manakau. School C drew with Wesley—7 all. Magpies defeated St. Joseph's, B—7.8 —7. Referees: Miss Pengelly and Miss Patterson. The Saturday competitions will commence this Saturday, sth May, play starting at 2.15 p.m. sharp. The draw e is:—■ School v. St. Joseph's. Rahui v. Ohau. Otaki v. Magpies. Owing to insufficient members, the Old Girls' team will be '-'out" this year, unless some eager girls are prepaied to join up immediately. It is very disappointing for a team to fall out through lack of interest and it is hoped that even yet a team may be brought together.
