Glenavy railway yards, a rake of trucks passing over the left of Thomas Devlin, aged IS. years, of Glenavy. He, with three others, was loading potatoes and shifting a rake of six trucks on to another line, when his left foot was caught in the points, four wagon wheels passing over and practically severing the leg above the ankle, while the toes of his right foot were squashed. The unfortunate young man was brought on a sretcher by the South express to Oamaru and removed by ambulance to the Oamaru public hospital.
