Fatally Injured When Car Slides Downhill
STREET MISHAP AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, Last Night. As a result of the motor-car in which she was riding capsizing in Garfield avenue, Roslyn, this afternoon, a single woman, 33 years of age, Miss Ivy May Davidson Perriam, received injuries to her head, which caused her death in hospital later in the day. Deceased, who resided at Mosgiel, was travelling in her own car, which vas being driven by a friend, Mr. Robert Barker, of Mosgiel. He turned the car into Garfield avenue, which is a verv steep street, but deceased told him that that was the wrong street, and he stopped the car. intending to back out again into Highgate. The wheels, however, were on a greasy patch and the car slid forward, going partly up a steep bank and capsizing downhill. The driver escaped unhurt, but Miss Perriam receiced serious injuries about the head. She was removed to hospital ami died at 4.50 p.m.
