No Extra Days for Racing

GOVERNMENT’S ATTITUDE OUTLINED WELLINGTON, Last Night. Applications for permits for extra or special racing days have of late been reaching the Government in considerable numbers from both racing and trotting clubs in ail parts of the Dominion. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. J. A. Young) said to-night that the Government had no objection iO racing or trotting clubs re-arranging or adjusting among themselves the existing statutory number of days allotted. The granting of extra or special days in addition to this statutory number, however, would not be entertained.
