REPEAL OF PROHIBITION.

SIXTEEN STATES GO WET. NEW YORK, June 28, California and West Virginia to-day joined the fourteen States which have already ratified the repeal of the prohibition amendment. According to early returns the wet majorities are approximately two- to one in both States.

In California a' State amendment legalising pari-butuel betting on horse races appears to be carried by a safe majority.
