LACED GLOVES.
A Paris correspondent reports on the latest in gloves. The practical chamois leather type it appears, is now being given a lightly decorative aspect through" the addition of laces. These commence from the top of thelittle finger, and are continued in the /bootlace manner all along the outside arm as far as the elbow. This seam, of course, is not stitched in the ordinary way, and colours emphasise smart notes in black, white, and eggshell beige. A summer material promoted to replace close-mesh woollen tulle offers a substitute for the new cotton crochet gloves when dainty embroidered motifs are worked through the surface. The one-b.uttou length is more consistently fostered , for this kind of glove, and a short frill round the wrists is always in evidence. One-button suede gloves in white, black, and beige have also come into vogue for afternoon and evening wear, with little shirred frills kept in order by a trellis of faggoting.
