TERRIFIC CONTESTS IN ULSTER Received Sunday, 9.50 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 3. Dare-devil motor cyclists, soaked to the skin and covered with mud, engaged in a* terrific in the Ulster Grand Prix. Stanley Woods, the winner of the 500, c.c. class, in which Simcock was third, declared the race was more like an aquatic sports. The ma- f chines bucked and kicked up volumes of mud, and when they traversed bumps leaped up into the air and rebounded with horrible uncertainty. Woods has now won the event three times in succession. He averaged 85.15 miles per hour. The winners of the 350. c.c. and 250 c.c. classes were G. Smith (77.89 miles, per hour) and E. Mellors (73.34 miles per hour) respectively.
