EMPLOYERS CAN DO NOTHING RIGHT LONDON, June 9. The Trades Union Congress Council’s report condemns all employers’ sports welfare schemes as exerting an insidious influence and definitely fending to weaken trades unions. The council further attacks schemes for co-operation and thrift as the more financial interest workers are induced to have in a firm the greater will be their reluctance to anywise endanger the firm’s profit-making activities.
