Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd.,' report as follows on Wednesday’s sale at Johnsonville: — There was a full attendance of the public, to whom we submitted an average yarding of all classes of stock. Prices for heavy bullocks were on a par with last week’s rates, but for plain and unfinished sorts there was no demand. Prime heifer and cow beef was firm at late rates, with lighter and plain easier, Eunners and vealers met with a good demand at prices slightly lower than last week’s rates. Sheep met with good competition, but heavy wetners showed a decline of from 1/ to 1/6 per head, and medium wethers 1/ per head, while ewes were slightly easier. Lambs sold at late rates.
