CHOOSING COSMETICS.
CARE TO BE TAKEN. Take as.much troublye as you can in choosing your cosmetics, and use them properly, but do ’ not forget that a good l complexion (comes from inside. Nothing that is put on from the outside is any use without the clear, healthy skin-.which comes from a wellordered diet,' a well-cared-for inside. One of the commonest causes of a blotchy skin is the excessive use of starchy foods and the fermentation which results from them. Realise that i the starch in soft, doughy bread and ‘cakes, in potatoes, rice and such like, is essentially the same as is used by, the paper-hanger to make paste and the laundries to stiffen- linen. If this substance is used in excess it will ferment and choke the intestines. Therefore, always include a considerable amount of green vegetables and fresh fruit in your everyday food.
