DESSERT CAKES.
Half a pound of sugar, four eggs, a .gill of sherry, butter, 10 oz, flour, |lb candied peel. Beat the eggs and sugar together for five minutes; melt the butter, but do not let it get hot; sift this in, and then beat in the sifted flour, wine, and candied peel; butter some small moulds and fill them twothirds full; bake in a cool oven a very pale colour.
