STRICTER REFEREEING ESSENTIAL.

ROUGH PLAY IN EVIDENCE. The writer has had glimpses of rough play this season and as the season has ‘just started, it is up to the referees to put a stop to this by putting a pldyer on ithe side-line. It only wants an example made to stop this practice and the referees are the persons to do it. There is absolutely no need for rodgh play in hockey, but nevertheless different players indulge in it, the ladies as well as the men. The writer hopes to see the referees take a definite stand and stop the practice and so keep the game clean and healthy.
