CORONER’S COMMENT AT INQUEST. ' (By Telegraph—Press Association.) v . CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. "An inquest into the circumstances s^rmi the death of Elizabeth Irvine, aged ,30, who was knocked off per bicycle in Eiecarton Road by a motorcar driven by Edgar Clement Mann, on the evening of August 2nd was held by Mr H. A. Young S.M., as Coroner, and the following verdict returned. “That deceased died from injuries received through being knocked off her bicycle by a motor car. If Munn had been keeping a proper lookout he should have been able to see the cyclist in front of him. The accident was due to Mann not keeping a proper lookout. The brakes on the car were ineffective, but even if they had not been so the accident would not have been averted. The matter of faulty brakes and bad lights was for the police, ’ ’ 1
