ROBBERY AND VIOLENCE.
THREE MEN PLEAS GUILTY,

James Martin (26), motor-driver, William Alexander Matthews (28), taxi-driver and Harry Boyer (25), seaman, weife jointly charged at the Magistrate’s Court with assaulting and robbing Bernard O’Brien of £1 and assaulting and robbing Patrick Toohf(l of £lO. The atbry is that the two men were' first driven in a taxi to a house in Kilbirnie and afterwards after some drinking, to Seatoun late at night and that there the assault and robbery took place, both men afterwards being taken by a resident to hospital. Mr Leicester for Martin said his client proposed to plead guilty but denied taking any part in the violence used. Both others pleaded guilty and were committed for sentence.
