MILITANT MINERS.
TERMS REJECTED BY MEETING AT LITHGOW DELEGATES ADVISE ACCEPTANCE Received Wednesday, 10.55 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 4. Meetings of miners on the northern coalfields, in order to. discuss the terms of settlement- of the coal dispute will be held during the week-end. Their delegates to the recent conference arc strongly urging acceptance of the terms’but there is considerable hostility in some quarters and an attempt will be made by the militants to have the terms rejected. There w’as a significant development, to-day in the W'calcrn districts, whore the miners at a mass meeting, unanimously rejected the terms and also pledged themselves to fight any kind of wage reduction to the bitter end. The position, therefore, is still in the balance.
