GOOD PROGRESS REPORTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. At a meeting of the Council of the Massey Agricultural College several matters were dealt with, bringing the plans for the establishment of the institution nearer completion. Gratification was expressed with the generous offer of members of the Friesian Association’s present to the College of pedigree heifers to be chosen by judges selected by the Association. Members making donations of heifers arc; Sir Andrew Russell, Hastings; E. S. Gill, Bloomfield Farm; Major Wilson, Bulls; W. A. Kyle, Palmerston North, and J. IT. P. Liggins, Tokomaru. A large number of grade Jersey heifers have been purchased and from these it is intended to select a number for inclusion in the Jersey herd to be established. In spite of the very wet weather docking tallies show a very satisfactory lambing percentage. The development and subdivision of the farm has been pushed ahead at a steady pace and the property has altered very much in appearance in the last three mouths. Seventy-one acres of clay land have been mole drained with very satisfactory results. Seventy acres have been broken #.nd will be cropped this season The results of tripod harrowing and top-dressing are noticeable in the very Sne growth of grass.
