CLEARING SALE.
BRISK DEMAND FOR DAIRY COWS Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Levin, report having held a clearing sale of dairy stock on account of Mr Anthony Hall, Ihakara, which was probably the most successful held in the district this season. The cows consisted mostly of grade Jerseys in nice condition, of which about half were in full milk. Bidding was very brisk throughout, several intending purchasers not getting a cow. The whole herd of' twenty-seven made an average of £l4 15s. Grade yearling heifers to £5 10s; bull, £11; spring cart mare, £22; sow with litter of seven, £lO ss; milking plant, £63; and sundries at usual rates. ■
