A DISPUTED APPOINTMENT.
APPEAL DISMISSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 20. The appointment of Mr Dallard as Controller-General .of Prisons, was recently the subject of an appeal by an officer of the Prisons Deparlmcnt which was announced to-day. The appeal was dismissed by the Public Service Appeal Board. The appointment of Mr Dallard is, therefore, confirmed.
