SUPER PIECES TO FOREIGN BUYERS DUNEDIN, Last Night. The first Dunedin wool sale was opened yesterday afternoon, and was coftcluded in the evening. About 16,000 bales were offered, and practically all was sold under the hammer. All sections of the trade were represented and competition was general, bidding being very ■keen. Bradford buyers were the biggest operators, but strong competition was offered by the Continent. Almost all the super pieces went io foreign buyers. Following is the range of prices:— Merino super 20d to 21|d'; average ISd to 19|fd; inferior 16d to 171 d. * Medium crossbred (44/46). —Super 13d to 14d; average Hid to 14®d; inferior lOd to ll|d. F;ne halfbred (56/58). Super —l9|d to 21 Jd;; average 17I’d to 191 d: inferior 16d to 17|d, Medium halfbred (50/56) .—Super 18d to 193 d; average 161 d to 17§d; inferior Isd to 16 3d. Coarse halfbred (48/50). —Super 17d to 18d; average ,14Id to 16id; inferior 123 d to 143 d. Fine crossbred (46/48). Super 15d to 16d; average 131 dto 14|d; inferior 11 Id to 13d.
