Loss of the Aorere.
+ — CAPTAIN'S CERTIFICATE; RETURNED. Wanganui, This Day. Tile Court of Inquiry into the loss of the steamer Aorero found three causes for the disaster—viz.. tlio vessel getting into n leaking condition and working loose in heavy weather, tho pump not being properly fitted, and that the captain committed an error Of judgment iu not seeking shelter either at Kapiti or Queen Charlotte Sosnd. Other than this error, thero was no negligence or incompotenco on the part of Captain Crotty, whose certificate was returned. No order «as inndn as to costs.
