BOWLING AFFAIRS

Meeting of Executive GISBORNE TRIP DECIDED ON A meeting of the executive of tho Hawke’s Bay Bowling Centre was held last evening in Napier, the president, Mr. F. D. Logan, presiding over a good attendance. Apologies for absence were received from the Hastings and Waipawa delegates. The president extended a welcome to Mr. T. B. McDonald, the new delegate from the Omaruni Club.

The question of holding a social at the conclusion of the New Year was discussed, and after several members had expressed their views on the subject, it was decided to abandon the proposal, but to hold one after the Easter tourney, a delegate from each club in the centre to be appointed to go into the matter.

It was decided that a return visit be paid to Gisborne in February, one rink from each club in the centre to make the trip. The arranging] of dates for the centre championships was left to the match committee. It was decided to make a donation of £1 1/- to the Lovelock fund. The question of making amendments to the shield conditions was left over until next season, as it was thought it was too late to do anything this year.
