Havelock North Club DISTRICT SHIELD TEAMS Conditions for play on the Havelock North green yesterday were quite good, and there was a good muster of Wednesday players. Results: — Brooks and Rush, 25; E. Jell and Wilson, 22. Jack, Ritchie, Boyle, Flanders, 17; Carey, de Montalk, Rose, Hay 15. Champion pairs: Heenan and Crombie. 34, G. Joll and J. H. Joll, 9. Champion singles: Cummins, 27; Liley, 16. SHIELD TEAMS. The following teams will represent the club in the second round of the shield competition on Saturday:— v. Waipukurau (at home): Taylor, Liley, Heenan, Anderson. v. Kia Toa (at heme): Angus, Cummins, G. Joll, Morgan. Away: E. Joll, Hay, Tucker, Wilson. v. Port Ahuriri (at home): Oakley, Bygum, Coombe, Leicester. Away: Ross Flanders, Crombie, Hall.
HERETAUNGA HANDICAP The teams to represent the HerQtaunga Club in the Shield matches on Saturday are as follows: — v. Omarunui (at ’ home): Sharkey, Usherwood, Preston-Thomas, Mcßride, v. Kia Toa (at home): Murley, Albiston, Burfield, Maher. v. Bluff Hill (away): Price, Banks, Newton, Drury v. Kia Toa (away): Low, Hickmott, Hawley, Collinge. NATIONAL SERVICE TEAMS • The following players will represent the National Service Club in the Shield games on Saturday:— v. Napier (at home): McKain, Toothill. Prior, Schofield.
