REVENUE GROWS

H.B. Automobile Association Returns

Revenue collected by the Automobile Association (Hawke’s Bay) during the past year exceeds that of 1935 by £1271 0/6, which indicates the increasing interest shown in the activities of the association by members, who now number just on 3000. The rapid growth of the association during the past 12 months was the subject of comment by the president, Mr J. H. Edmundson, at the annual general meeting in Napier last night. He mentioned the organisation’s satisfactory financial position and expressed the hope > that the association would go from strength to strength. Although the membership was healthy at present, he said, there was no reason why it should not be increased, and one way in which this could be brought about was by each member striving to persuade one friend to join. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr J. H. Edmundson; vice-presidents, Dr. W. D. FitzGerald and Mr T. Parker; committee, Messrs A. L. M. Avery, H. L. Benjamin, L. Clarke, A. Dysart, W. Forsyth, J. E. Gleadow, E. C. Hall, C. B. Hansen, R. P. Kay, R. Kennedy, B. Mathieson, J. E. Peach, D. P. Ronberg, C. C. Sorrell, G. C. Tripe, G. E. Tyler, E. A. Williams; hon. treasurer, Mr A. E. Renouf; auditors, Messrs Harvey and Laws.
