WAIPUKURAU HOSPITAL

Former Patient’s Tribute From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, November 11. “This is one of the nicest letters I have ever received since I have been associated with the Waipawa Hospital Board,” said the secretary at yesterday’s meeting. The letter, from a Wellington resident, read: • “Dear Sir, I wish to notify you of my great appreciation of the kindness ano attention I received while a patient in the Waipukurau Hospital. I attribute my return to health to Dr. Fisher, as he thoroughly understood my case, and 1 do admire his skill, as I am now perfectly cured and in excellent health, sleeping normally, which I had not previously done since April. My thanks are also due to Miss Turnbull and Sister Maclean for their untiring attention, and to the nurses in the women’s ward. I interviewed five doctors in Wellington, and it was not until I came under the care of the staff at the Waipukurau Hospital that my ease was understood. ”

A resident of Waipukurau also wrote expressing appreciation of the treatment received when a patient at the hospital. The honorary organiser of the Unudren’s Health Camp Fund wrote thanking the board for their donation, and expressing thanks and appreciation of the services rendered by the matron and nursing staff- in the past and the hope that their services would be available again this year.
