Rate* Well Maintained STRONG COMPETITION (Received 18, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 17. At the wool sales 11,047 bales were oeffred, including 5920 New Zealand; 9424 bales were sold. There was an excellent selection and strong competition, especially from the home trade, and rates were well maintained. New Zealand slipe, halfbred lambs, Fairfield, top 17W, average 16Jd.
