Provincial and Empire, Napier

A sum exceeding £.10.000 is involved, is understood, in a change of ownership of two Napier hotels, the Provincial and the Empire. The transactions have just been completed. Mr J. C. Gleeson, of Auckland, owner of the Provincial Hotel, has sold his establishment to the Sunshine Brewery Co., Ltd., of Napier, and Mr P. S. Gleeson, of Auckland, owner of the Empire Hotel, has sold it to Hawke’s Bay Hotels, Ltd., a newly-formed company. The actual price is not slated in either case.
