(Received 17, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 16.
Sir A. H. L. Hardinge has sent a letter to Sir Fabian Ware on behalf of the King, stating that the King wishes members of the Imperial War Graves Commission to know how deeply His Majesty was impressed by the beauty of the cemeteries on the Peninsula, aud the care with which the war graves on the battlefields of Helles, Anzac and Suvla are tended.
His Majesty was glad to have the opportunity- of seeing another example of the fine work of the War Graves Commission, representing all peoples of the British Empire united in a common task. The King trusts that the knowledge of thjs work may bring comfort to all in this country, also in New Zealand, Australia and India, who mourn the dead of the Dardanelles campaign.
