NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 17

A tin containing 100 detonators was found under a fence yesterday, by a small child who took them to school •'hero the teacher found her and her mates playing with them. One child was actually trying to make a whistle out of . deadly plaything. The detonators were handed over to tl> police. Inquiries, however, have not revealed how the detonators came to be under the fence where they were found. Had u.' exploded th e consequences w-ould have been tragic.
