TO-DAY’S TURF NEWS Wanganui Final Gallops
(Hy 'telegraph—Fress Association.) WAN WAN Ul, Sept. 8. There was a line frosty morning for the final gallops. Number one glrass track was in good order. Before breakfast Moquette and Hamarin went half a mile in 53 4-5. The former had a break at the start and stayed there. Imposture in a working gallop over a circuit did the last three furlongs in 39J. Gallio finished two lengths ahead of •Jonathan and Spiral was a similar distance further back at the end of live furlongs run in 1.3 3-5. Spiral had much the worst of the start. The Guineas candidate went impressively. Wild Chase beat ItecoTlection by four lengths over half a mile in 51 2-5. Galloping freely, Privy Seal just shaded Icing at the. end of three furlongs run in 38 1-5. Missal was some lengths back. Karl ran five furlongs in 1.4 3-5, the first quarter in 25secs. The Tramp did five in 1.6 J and Mandamus took 1.5 J. Golden Anne, May Song and Tea Wrack finished five furlongs in that order in 1.5. Brazen King led Bed Manfred home in 1.4 1-5. Silver Brier and Boomerang ran a mile, the latter doing it well in 1.48. Orac and Leo Colossus did six furlongs in 1.19 J together. Amatory. Sam’s Choice and Parikino were all together at the end of two furlongs run in 25 2-ssecs.,
Phileniup did a working gallop. Cyclopean went half a mile in 50 1-5. Grand Jury did the last three of seven furlongs in 39 3-5. A number of others did useful work.
