DAIRY CONFERENCE
In Hastings Next Week 500 VISITORS EXPECTED Tho National Dairy Conference, which is to be hold in Hastings next Wednesday, Thursday aud Friday, will open at two o’clock on Wednesday afternoon at a gathering of delegates aud the public in the Municipal Theatre, aud the official opening ceremony will bo performed by tho Hon. W, Leo Martin, Minister of Agriculture, A civic reception will be accorded to the delegates by His Worship the Mayor, Mr G. A. Maddison, and an address will bo given by the Hon. W Nash, Minister of Finance. It is expected that the total number of visitors to the conference, in finding delegates, their wives, and people interested in tho conference but uot actually delegates, will be between 400 aud 500.
The conference will bo preceded by the annual meeting of the Dominion Group Herd Testing Federation, which is to be held in Napier on Tuesday, and by the annual meeting of the National Dairy Association, which is to be held in Hastings on Wednesday morning.
