Keen Competition at Napier HIDES ON A PAR The monthly sale of sheepskins, hides and oddments was held on Wednesday. There was keen competition, with hides on a par with last sale, but calf skins showed a slight appreciation. Full woolled sheepskins showed no change, but short wools were up about Jd.

Range of prices;— Dry sheep skins: Half bred, J to full woolled, 9ijd to llfd; three-quarter bred, i to full woolled, 9jd to 10fd; cross bred, fine, full woolled, BJd to 10fd; cross bred, medium, full woolled, 7Sd to lOd; cross bred, coarse, full wool led, 8d to 9Jd; lambs 7jd to 10fd; hoggets, 7d to 10fd; half woolled, (id to 9!jd; quarter woolled, 4Jd to Did; pelts, 4d to B|d.
