Motorist and Crossing-Keeper l elMumph Kreau Aasociuti CHRISTCHURCH, April .21 A complaint that tho railway-crossing keeper in charge of a suburban crossing hud not stood in the centre of the road was received at lust night’s meeting of the council of the Automobile Association (Canterbury). As a result, it was stated, the complainant bad crossed over while the line was not clear and had been prosecuted. He suggested that the keeper should be instructed to stand in full view of traffic. Members of the :ouncil were agreed that the crossing keeper referred to was always in His correct position and could always be seen. In any case the onus was on thed river to stop. The | council was not prepared to support the complaint.
