OTANE INTERESTS

W.E.A. Group Meeting From Our Own Correspondent. OTANE, April 23. On Tuesday night the fortnightly meeting of the local group of the W.E.A, was held in the library, Mrs Barrie presiding. A very interesting paper on John Wesley was read, several members taking a part. Some very good records of hymns sang by massed choirs at Albert Hall, London, accompanied the lecture, and were most en joyable.

The Anzac service this year' will be held in the afternoon at 2.30, instead of the morning as has hitherto been the custom, and will be conducted as usual by the Revs. R. T. Hall and F. W. Robertson. Mr Harker, of Waipawa, will give an address and the Waipawa Municipal Band will be in attendance and render music appropriate to the occasion.

On Wednesday afternoon Miss Lola Mundell, who has been a member of the staff of T. A. Ridge for a number of years, and who has left on account of her approaching marriage, was met by Mr and Mrs Ridge and her fellowworkers and presented with a hand some chiming dock as a wedding gift Mr Ridge, who made the presentation, eulogised Miss Mundell and her years of faithful service and wished her every happiness in the future. Mr Page, a fellow-worker for a number of years, also paid a tribute to Miss Mundell nnd conveyed the staff’s best wishes r o r her future happiness and prosper! V-
