WEDDING

Petherick—Pinkerton St. Peter’s Church, Waipawa, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon the contracting parties being Miss luioda Alberta Pinkerton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Pinkerton, of Taumarunui, and Ronald Arthur Petherick, third son ot Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Petherick, of Waipawa. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, was becomingly costumed in a graceful frock of white needlerun lace with tulle veil, and carried a beautiful bouquet of pale pink and white begonias, with maidenhair fern. Miss Joan Fissenden, as bridesmaid, wore a blue declustered crepe dress, with a halo hat of the sqme material and carried a bouquet of pink begonias and heather. Mr. Desmond Petherick carried out the duties of best man. Mrs. Petherick, mother ol the bride, groom, wore a Chinese-green frock with hat to tone.

The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. W. T. Drake, and Mrs. Diake presided at the organ. Subsequently the bridal party adjourned to the “The Dainties,” where the wedding breakfast was served, and the happy couple received the congratulations of many friends.
