CLIVE GRANGE SCHOOL
The monthly meeting of the Clive Grange School Committee was held on 'Thursday. This is tho final meeting before the election of the new committee on April 29. Those present were: Messrs Manning (chairman), Freeman, Chapman, Sawdoun and ItCockerill (head teacher;. An apology for absence was received from Mr M. McCormick.
The head teacher reported a roll number of 97 pupils and a very satisfactory average attendance. The school picnic was held during the month and was successful in every way ft was resolved to set aside tho small profit on. the function lor the purchase of playing equipment for the school. The inspector paid a visit to the school on April 2. The head teacher was authorised to purchase two cords of wood, also a small quantity of grass-seed. Accounts amounting to £7 4/5 were passed for payment. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to tho head teacher for the ready co-operation he, had always extended to tho committee.
