GIFT EVENING

A very jolly gift evening was given in the G.F.S. room in honour of Miss G. Vaughan, who was yesterday's bride. The party was a surprise one, the hostesses being the Misses Jean Harrison and 1). Taylor. The evening was spent in competitions, which caused much amusement; two of them were won by the guest of honour. A delicious supper was enjoyed by everyone, and then Miss Vaughan was asked to open her parcels, which revealed a number of useful and delightful gifts Miss Vaughan charmingly thanked the hostesses and guests for the jolly evening and the gifts which she had received The remainder of tne evening was spent in community singing. The guests were: Mrs. Vaughan, Mrs. R. Gallien. Mrs. A. W. Renouf, Mrs. 0. Soir, Mrs. H. Jones, Misses Marjorie Taylor,, Maisie Slater, E. Crawford, Frances Beck, K. Johnson, J. M. Rees, B. Harris, M. Palmer. N. Robertson and Doreen Apsey.
