WEDDINGS

McKenzie—Mitchell The wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Bresbyterian Church ol Uieuunia, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr W. f. Mitchell, Charles street, Hustings, and Hector, eldest son of Mr and Mrs G. McKenzie, Wairoa. The Rev, D. J. A. Shaw officiated at the ceremony. During the service the hymn “The Voice that Breathed O’er Eden” was sung. Miss A. Lock presided at Hie organ. Iho church was charmingly decorated by tho bride’s friends with autumn Howers and foliage. The bride, who was given away by lier brother, Air D. Mitchell, wore u gown of wmte satin fashioned with u fitting skirt dared to form a short train. The corsage had a cowl neckline and small buttons down the back. She wore a tulle veil, lent by a friend, and carried a bouquet of lemon and pink Howers with trailers of maidenhair fern. me only bridesmaid was Miss Peggy McKenzie, sister of tho bridegroom. Her frock was of patterned silk in powder blue and pink with a cape effect, and matching hat and shoes. Her bouquet was 111 pan and white shades and was given by Miss M. Isaacson, who also gave the bride he< flowers, The groomsman was Air D. McKenzie, urotlier of the bridegroom. Alter the ceremony a reception was held at the Rialto tea-rooms, where the handsome wedding cake, a gift irom Mrs Hendry, was much admired. Mrs Mitchell, the bride’s mother, wore a gown of brown marocain with cowl neckline, and a brown bat. She carried a bouquet of autumn tinted Howers. Mrs G. McKenzie, tuo bridegroom's mother, wore parma violet marocain with lace cuffs and collar. Her bouquet was of flowers in the same shade. When the bride and bridegroom left tor their Honeymoon the bride travelled in a navy-blue tailored costume with navy hat, shoes and purse. Ah' and Airs Hector AlcKenzio will make their future home in Hastings. The guests present were; Mr and Mrs Hendry, Air and Airs AlcKenzie (Wairoa;, Airs Ashford (Auckland), Mrs McMahon, Airs Hammond, Airs Bond, Airs Giifney, Airs Baines, Airs Robertson, Airs Alartin, Mrs Hopcraft, Mr and Airs Alajor Banks, Air and Airs Stockham, Air and Mrs Alarigold; Misses Isaacson, Fortman, Bains (2), McKenzie (Wairoa); Alessrs G. AlcKenzie (Wairoa), W. Love, D. Simon, A. Hatton, Lang, G. and L. Baines, W, Brigdon.
