The Annual Meeting The math annual meeting of the Central Hawke’s Bay branch of tne Women's Division of the Barniers’ Union was held in the Women’s Rest Boom, Waipukurau, on Tuesday afternoon, Mrs T. Groome presiding over the following members; Mesdames T. Black, C. Giblin, M. Bchroder, A. E. Grant, M. Tansey, F. B. Wilson, J. E. Cole, J. W. Harding, P. F. Wall and •Misses G. Beachen, E. Grant and the secretary, Miss N. Main. Apologies were received from Mesdames K. Doo aid, C. Pattison, J. C. Nicholls, G. L. Jamieson, C. Moore and A. D. Wailace.

The president, secretary and secret-ary-housekeeper’s reports upon the year's work were read, all proving most satisfactory, also the balancesheet.

The following officers were elected; President, Mrs T. H. Groome (re-eiect-cd); vice-presidents, Mesdames f*. JT. Wall, A. D. Wallace, C. Pattison, P. Hunter, G. L. Jamieson and Miss E. Beachen. Secretary, Miss N. Main (reelected); assistant-secretary, Miss K Grant; housekeeper-secretary, Miss G. Beachen; treasurer, Mrs E. Wilson. Committee: Mesdames J. W. Harding, T. Black, E. A. Grant, W. D. Sharpies, J. Rose, T. Geenty, R. K. Donald, T. E. Whelch, H. P. Hole and E. Cole.

The president stated in her annual report covering the past year, that there was cause for gratitude for the measure of success attending their efforts. “Financially we are in a good sound position; our membership has steadily increased and now has passed the 100 mark.

“During the year we had the pleasure of a visit from Mrs Wilson, the Dominion President, and her address was very helpful and instructive. “To the members I tender my sincere thanks for their loyal help and trust that our New Year may be a prosperous one.’’

The housekeeper-secretary reported that the demand for housekeepers had been exceptionally heavy, 25 housekeepers having filled 45 engagements during the period, there being two housekeepers in the district at present. After the business a much appreciated tea was dispensed by Mesdames T. Black and C. Giblin.
