RETURN FROM WOOL

Auckland Pay-out For Third Sale By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 7. The prompt date for payment on account of the third Auckland wool sale falls to-morrow, and sheep-farmers of the province will receive an aggregate amount estimated at about £37.5,000. This will bring the total realisation for the season to practically £940,000, which is fully equal to that of 1933-34 season, which marked a welcome recovery of wool values after four lean years. Last year the total amount realised was £344,030. Of a total offering of 32,414 bales at the third sale, some 31,500 bales were sold, either at auction or subsequently, the largest clearance made at Auckland in recent years. The price per bale should be within a few shillings of £l2.
