COSY THEATRE •'I CIVE MY HEART" In the new 8.1. P. production, "1 Give Mv Heart,” starring Gitta Alpar, beautiful and famous Hungarian nightingale, which comes to the Cosy Theatre to-day, no expense has been spared to secure the correct detail and lavish settings which a film of this calibre so richly deserves. Miss Alpar brings to the screen a glorious voice that loses none of its beauty in the complicated business of recording and reproduction Her unforgettable renditions of such favourite musical gems as “I Give My Heart,” ‘‘Now 1 Have Found You,” “Dubarry” and "Before We Met” will endear her to all entertainment lovers. The story takes place in Paris during the Dubarry period, giving scope for some marvellous settings and dresses.

MUNICIPAL THEATRE DOUBLE BILL The usual double bill at the Municipal to-night will be “Diamond Cut Diamond” and “Student Tour ” The [ormer is a laughter-making expose ol confidence men and their tricks, with Adolphe Menjou in a humorous part. Others in the cast are Claude Allister, Benita Hume and Kenneth Kove. “Student Tour” has as stars Nelson Eddy and Charles Butterworth. Music plays an important part in “Student Tour,” especially since the picture serves to introduce a new dance rhythm in the form of the “Carlo.” Gorgeously staged in a casino in Monte Carlo, this number is danced to fivefour time, something said to be absolutely new in popular music. REGENT THEATRE “ANNA KARENINA” Greta Garbo heads the cast of “Anna Karenina,” at the Kegent Theatre to-day. Also in the cast are Basil Rathbone, Freddie Bartholomew, May Robson, Maureen O’Sullivan, Reginald Owen, Reginald Denny and Cora Sue Collins. This stirring story, based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy, depicts Russia at the height of her imperialistic splendour titty years ago and gives the star opportunities for displaying her command of all shades of emotion. In spite of the large size of the cast Garbo has a particularly long part to play and is seldom off th* screen. Commencing at a midnight matinee at the Regent to-morrow night is “The Perfect Gentleman,” Cicely Courtneidge’s first production for Hollywood. She is assisted by that inimitable comedian Frank Morgan, who plays the title role. STATE THEATRE “ANNIE OAKLEY" Many of the striking sequences depicted 111 “Annie Uakley,” Barbara Stanwyck’s starring vehicle, at the State to-day, are bused on actual occurrences in the colourful life of the Ohio girl who became the world’s greatest markswoman in the eighties, itven Annie Oakley's romance smacks of realism. As in real life, the him depicts how she marries the man she meets in her lirst exhibition match at the Cincinnati Gun Club. Her romance with this opponent is traced against the colourful background of “Annie Oakley.”
