CLYDESDALE AWARDS
N.Z. Exhibits at Sydney Show SYDNEY, Apri! 7. The second day of the Royal Show was seriously marred by heavy, drenching rain. However, the judging of horses, fruit, poultry and other district exhibits went on uninterruptedly. New Zealand-bred Clydesdales, as in former years, figured largely and successfully in the Clydesdale stallion sections, gaining first awards in the two, three and under four year old classes, also second and third awards in the two and three-year classes. The champion prize went to the New South Wales Department of Agriculture and the reserve champion prize to Mr A. Stokes’ Noble Douglas imported from New Zealand. The judge in the Clydesdale classes was Mr W. Carruthers, of Lanark, Scotland. Winooka, former champion sprinter, won first prize for champion thorongh-u-cd allinn.
