Comment on Hastings Progress APPRECIATIVE LETTERS "We were much impressed with the wonderful progress made by your town in recent years, not only m regard to the improvements in business premises, dwellings, and streets, but also in regard to the amenities of the town. Your citizens certainly owe much to the public spirit and foresight displayed by your council and its predecessors.” The foregoing is contained in a letter from the Mayor of New Plymouth, received at the meeting of the Hastings Borough Council last evening, expressing thanks for the hospitality and courtesy extended to him and the delegates in connection with their visit to Hastings recently during the Municipal Conference. The Municipal Association also wrote expressing the sincere thanks and appreciation of the delegates to the Municipal Conference for the generous hospitality extended to delegates during their visit to Hastings.
