TARADALE GIRL GUIDES

The recently-formed Ta radale branch of the Girl Guides lost little time in getting to work, and a very successful concert organised by them was held in the Presbyterian Sunday Schoolroom, Taradale. The programme lacked nothing in variety, and a most entertaining programme of songs, musical, elocutionary and dance items was presented to a large audience. The performers included Girl Guides, Boy Scouts and Cubs, dance numbers by a party of Miss Ann Moody’s (Napier) pupils, and concertina selections by the Rev. J. W. and Masters David and Leslie Martin. Accompanists were Mrs T. B. McDonald, Mr Heaps and Piper McCarthy. A community sing added greatly to the evening’s enjoyment.
