Mt. Cook and Queenstown In addition to the tisual arrangementsjor holiday-makers at Mt. Cook and Queenstown in late spring and summer, the Mt. Cook Tourist Company has prepared a very attractive programme of land cruises, which will begin on November 1. Parties (a minimum of four passengers) are taken in private cars to the Hermitage and the southern lakes. Two of these motor cruises (from Timaru and Dunedin) are for periods of ten days each at a total cost of £l5, including firstclass hotel accommodation, side-trips, etc. This free-and-easy way of taking a holiday has proved very popular in older countries. It promises to be similarly attractive in the scenic regions of New Zealand where every day’s travel can have its own distintive charm.
