H.B. CHILDREN’S HOME

Hastings Committee The Hastings branch of the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home Committee met recently, Mrs Rochfort presiding, and arrangements were made for the annual meeting, to be held in the bridge room of the Community Club on Friday afternoon. Mrg Darvell and Miss Ford reported on their recent visit to the homes, when one of the girls had cooked lunch for the visitors and acquitted herself vary well. Annual subscribers are invited to be present at ths annual meeting. It was decided to ask Mr Rochfort, chairman of the Board of Trustees, to take the chair. Mrs Romaine Wright and Mrs Jack Price wrote expressing their willingness to serve on the committee.
