ASHORE IN BREAKERS
Two-Masted Ketch Mehongo CREW SAFELY ON LAND (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 25. The following message has been received by tho Director-General of tho Post and Telegraph Department from tho Postmaster at Kaiataia:—“The two-masted ketvA Mehongo, from Hokianga, is ashore in the breakers at Ahipara beach, opposite Keid’s boardinghouse. Tho sea is very rough. Tho crew of two, Messrs. J. W. Wray and D. Wellington, are safe ashore. The vessel is lying on a sandy bottom. Fialvago operations are being attempted. The vessel was previously named Neva of Hokianga.’’
