TO-DAY’S RECIPE
MOCK VENISON. Ingredients: lllbs. cold mutton, 1 cup good, gravy, j small cup port or claret, tablespoons red currant jelly, seasoning to taste, cippets of toast. Method: Bring the gravy to the boil, add jelly, wine and seasoning. Put in the meat, cut in small pieces and simmer gently for a quarter of an hour. Do not let it boil. Serve with toast cippets.
