R.S.A. CONFERENCE
Election of Officers WELLINGTON, June 22. The annual conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association concluded at midnight last night. The following officers were elected: Dominion president, Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C.; Dominion vice-president, Mr B. J. Jacobs (Palmerston North); district vice-presidents, Mr S. P. Day (Auckland), Mr T. L. Drummond (Canterbury-Westland), Mr C. J. L. Mollison (Otago-Southiand), Mr N. A. Vcrcoe (Wellington-Nelson-Marl-borough); Dominion honorary treasurer, Mr J. D. Harper; Dominion general committee, Messrs. A. W. M. Olilsou, J. Spence, E. J. Brainmall, E. F. Willcox, 0. 0. Ferens and R, F Gambrill; Dominion executive committee, Messrs. J. D. Harper, C. W. Batten, A. T. Duncan, D. G. Munro, H. B. Burdekin, G. T. Hall, A. Cowles, G. A. Hayden, and president of the South African War Veterans’ Association. Before the election of officers Mr Perry moved that the constitution of the association be amended so that the immediate past-president would be an officer of the association with full voting privileges. The conference placed on record its appreciation of Sir Andrew Russell's distinguished services both during Hie Great War and us president of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. As » mementc of his predecessor’s presidency, Mr Perry presented Sir Andri y, on behalf ol the conference with n case of pipes. Musical honours were accorded Sir Andrew. Musical honours were also accorded Mr Perry and Mr Jacobs on their election as president and vice-president respectively.
