NON-STOP FLIGHTS

Possibility of Future NEW BRITISH MACHINES By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright LONDON, June 22. The “Morning Post” says that a non-stop flight from England to Australia may be possible at a not fardistant date with new low-consumption aero engines now subject to experiments. Pull details are withheld, but it is stated that new British aircooled sleeve-valve engines have shown much lower petrol and oil consumption. A British attempt to break the world long-distance non-stop record is not imminent, but if the figures realised on the test bench can be reproduced in flight Britain has a good chance of obtaining the reoord by a wide margin.
