EAST COAST AIRWAYS

Second Dragon to Hand

The latest advice received by Mr K A. Robinson, Napier manager for East Coast Airways, is that the second eightpassenger Dragon ZKADR has passed its tests at Auckland. It arrived at Gisborne on. Thursday afternoon, piloted by the company’s second pilot, Fly' ing-Officer R. Kirkup, and carrying the managing director, Wing-Commander 8. Grant-Dalton, and th© managing secretary, Mr G. Crawshaw. The plane made a good trip by way of the coastal rout* from Auckland to Gisborne.

It is now being thoroughly checked by the company’s ground engineers and pilots before being put into service early next week. The Tui, which has completed every schedule so far, will be overhauled and put in readiness for duplicate services, if need be, and any special charter work.
